Last year we went on a holiday to Crete. On forehand i discovered that gavdos is an island of freeminded people living in the nude. Arriving on Gavdos by boat we walked through the whole north and eastern part of the island, mostly in the nude.

My GF loves to lay in the sun, reading books. I am more the adventurous type, so i decided to walk from Agios Ioannis, uphill along the shore to explore.

I encountered paradise like beaches and surroundings where people live in communities with nature and completely naked all day long. It was beautiful and very freeing to see that this kind of living is possible, better yet i was there.

The funny thing was that suddenly i heard my alarm on my phone ringing. It was the alarm my GF set in order to go back to the boat to Crete. Knowing i almost walked 4 KM on bare feet along the cliff and shore i suddenly realized i needed to go back fast. I ran 4 KM back completely nude to the busstop where we made it just in time for the bus and the boat to go back to Crete. Just later i realized that people were clothed by the busstop and boats, i just didn't had the time to realize or to put on some clothes.
