oh, i absolutely agree. ppl should reply to every message. but we do have other lives and sometimes we get distracted, busy, confused, whatever. I say, if you don't get a response to a pm within a reasonable time, follow up with another message. But thats it. don't keep pestering someone.

but if you receive loads of comments, how can you reply to them all, i do try and leave a mesage on the photo where i receive a few messages, i also leave messages on my page thanking everyone for leaving comments,

I also use my Blog to thank them...

I do try and reply to al messsages, but some do get missed, we can only but try!!!!

I don't mean to slight anyone, be rude or anything but I'm new here. My time on here is intermittent and most often, kinda' brief. So far, I've been gazin' at the pics and readin' through the forums. Most often, I don't see any messages 'til much later, often a day or so later. Not alot of point in replying to a chat-initiating message, hours or days later when the sender's offline. I figure if you're looking to chat, you oughta' be in the chat forum where you know everyone there is up for it. If you're trying to initiate a chat by PM, don't be disappointed if you don't get a timely response. Some of us just don't frequently check for messages.

Since this is a world-wide site, it stands to reason that we can't all be online at the same time. If I log on and find a message sent from the other side of the world a day or so previously, I always get back to them and tell people that if they don't hear from me straightaway, I WILL respond to them as soon as I can. So there is EVERY POINT to return a person's message if they are kind enough to contact you when its a day or so old and you are not online together. After all, in the days of snail mail, you didn't expect a letter to arrive by return of post after you'd sent one - though these days you're lucky to get one at all, apart from wretched bills, of course, they ALWAYS seem to arrive OK.

Certainly replies are nice, but it is also good to remember that people vary on their frequency of visits and time spent here, as noted.

Also....not all members are comfortable with English, or whatever "your" language might be.

And not all members are whom they might portray themselves to be in the pics. Some of the "fakers" won't respond at all and don't participate in other ways either...they just keep posting pics.

Yeah....as "Routemaster" and "slipper" pointed out...you have to be mindful that there are different time zones and not everyone is on here every day or even every week.
