To make your private pics public you can do the following:

1. Go to your page.
2. Underneath each picture you find a link 'manage it'.
3. Click the link.
4. You now get a page were you can change the settings (category and status) for that particular picture. How ever it will cost you 5 points if the picture has been uploaded more then 2 days ago.

And when it comes to the videos, perhaps they're in a wrong format or just too big.
