This just something that I have wondered about for a long time. It is pants. It seems that historically skirts were invented before pants. Simple, easy to make, and easy to live with. The Scotts still use skirts a bit.

But most of the worlds men seem to have switched to pants after they were invented and after some reliable method of holding them closed was invented. Buttons. But for men, pants were not as convenient as skirts. If you wanted to piss, it might be ok. But if a guy wanted to fuck or shit, he had to lower the pants which left him unable to run. The skirt just tell into place when he stood up. Seems better.

Women on the other hand kept the skirt until recently in most societies. If pants were better in some way, I would have thought that women would have adopted them long ago.

I have always wondered about that.
