Jess and Chris were both astute individuals who had no trouble exposing matters that were wrong, they often clarified and corrected error when they saw it.
Unfortunately that attribute often saw them ending up in foolish and pointless debate which obviously was wearing to them.
Neither of them would EVER compromise their beliefs, morals or ethics, qualities sadly lacking in some individuals in this group.
I will not and cannot go into specifics but thanks to them quite a few members doing the wrong things were detected including und-er-aged members and even one or two members seeking und-er-age contact.
Jess was the subject of a despicable attack by another member a few months back, Chris also received inappropriate abuse (often from some gutless wonder known as "anonymous") so no wonder their patience grew thin.
Both Jess and Chris have left this group with clear consciences, they will be missed but please rest assured that other members will take their place.
Let us trust they will return.

The difference,anon, is that mr7 had been around for a while, and most of us "regulars" had grown accustomed to his personality...much like a group of people who hang out together a lot. He may have been a pit "prickly" and cantankerous, but he was part of the "group" and allowances were made. By being around for so long, he had earned the right to his quirky behavior. A "newbie", on the other hand, hasn't been here long enough to get a free pass when they are annoying. Even on SYD, you have to "pay your dues"...
