I've noticed many people don't show their face in pics. I recently uploaded one with my face in it and I don't care if anyone I know sees it any more. Do you think it's better to show your face or hide it away?

I'm happy to show myself completely nude, including face and erection. But I totally understand if anyone chooses not to do it. According to me, showing face is not a problem at all. I feel woman who post their naked pic here should not feel shy to show their face.their real beauty is enjoyed if along with the nude body, face is also shown. We are Indians. Indian woman usually do not show their faces when their nude picture is online. We thought that we will break our society norms and show our beautiful faces as well. I know of a couple of friends though who both lost their jobs over images that they posted showing their faces. I have read multiple stories in the papers over recent years about people losing their jobs after being identified.


I actually recognised someone that I know posting elsewhere. That is their business and having recognised them I just moved on. Not everyone is like that. My friends were reported to their employers by someone who recognised them. There are some mean people out there.

Yes,that is exactly what I am saying. It was their own 'site', which was part of a larger commercial site. Someone with a personal grudge came upon it by chance and because of the nature of their work took it to a national newspaper and it made a huge spread. Their employers of course picked up on this or had it pointed out to them. There was nothing specifically banning this sort of thing but they were dismissed for bringing their employer's reputation into disrepute.
Moral - Never ever post your face and think very carefully before posting anything at all if you are employed.

Aside from it harming your company's reputation, they also fear a legal risk. Someone could blackmail the person who showed all, and blackmailed people might steal from the company to pay off the threat.

There's also very good face recognition software, and I wouldn't put it past some companies to scan the web for potentially embarasing pictures. In fact, if a defense contractor took this precaution, I'd say it was a good thing to do.
