Call me lame, but I've been rereading the entire series of Green Lantern comics. Needed a break from my usual textbooks.

I am currently reading Good Omens… I mostly read graphic horror, I have never read a comedy before, but the book got a recommended read from my favorite author Clive Barker (and since it seems he has stopped writing novels, I am giving it a try)…. If anyone can recommend an author comparable to Clive, please let me know

Good Omens is one of the best! I laughed out loud literally!

Good Omens turned out to be hilarious … I would recommend it to just about anyone

Thomas Ligotti is possibly the greatest horror writer I've read. I enjoy Barker, and others, but Ligotti takes things far further into nihilistic philisophical horror. And he writes shorts, so you can take it in piecemeal.
Try the Nightmare Factory collection
That said, the Cenobites are an amazing creation

Thanks for the suggestion, I looked up Thomas Ligotti today, I had never heard of him before, but he definitely looks like my kinda read I am going to pick up The Nightmare factory, I'll let you know what I think

Most of my books right now fall into two categories: health and spirituality.

I'm reading up on my conditions, so I have plenty of Scleroderma and Lupus books, and a Rheumatoid Arthritis one on order.

I'm also learning about my chosen faith.

If fear is cultivated it will become stronger, if faith is cultivated it will achieve mastery.

"Watchers" : by Dean Koontz

Just got done reading "Needful Things" : by Stephen King
By #303133 12,Apr,13 23:22
"IT" is a much better King book.
"The Stand" is a close second.
"The Talisman", which King wrote with Peter Straub is a great read...though it is more fantasy than horror.
"Ghost Story" and "Shadowland", also by Straub, are fine, scary books.
Read them all!!!!!

Have either of you read the Dark Tower series by King? GREAT read! !
By #303133 13,Apr,13 10:07
I must disagree with you. I am a Stephen King fan, but the Dark Tower series was a great disappointment.
By #143536 15,Apr,13 13:07
