Congratulations to Dame Vera Lynn, the Forces Sweetheart of World War Two (long before my time, I have to say) whose songs helped keep Britain going through those desperate dark days. She moved with the times, I remember seeing her on t.v. in the 1970s when she sang ABBA's "Thank You For The Music" (and lovely she sang it too) and attended one of the concerts for Remembrance Day at the Royal Albert Hall in London a few years ago. A GREAT lady, happy birthday to her:
I forgot to say that when Dame Vera attended the Remembrance Day concert at the Royal Albert Hall, she received a rapturous welcome - and quite right too
Congratulation to you too, Routemaster, just for your lovely words and your good heart! :x
