There was a budget crisis, as usual in washington at the time and 1 of the brain farts of the democrats was to tax life insurance.
I explained that being on disability ,paying for funerals and after death expense's can be difficult and taxing that small policy would have taken money away from where it needed to go.
1 discussion I had with my state rep was in regards to recycling. We were talking about how much more practical returning Coke bottles to the store for REUSE was over throwing them in a bag to go to the dump or be hauled,melted,and reformed into yet another bottle.
Soft drinks used to be in returnable bottles,like milk, and were simply washed,refilled and recaped and would be reused for YEARS. Much more practical and less emissions for the air.

If you think it can't be done safely upfront or at home, than come up with a solution, so that EVERYONE can vote in person, within some shorter period that you propose.
Voting shouldn't have to take more than 30 minutes, your work should not affect your ability to vote, it shouldn't cost any money, no one should be able to take away the vote of any citizen and no one should be unable to vote due to their health or age. It's not possible to ensure these prerequisites with the system that you are proposing.
Voting digitally is dangerous. Voting at home in your recliner because you are to lazy to get up and drive down to the booth is sickening.
IF you are sick,and unable, yes, a county or government official that is bonded ,in other words trustworthy,should come by your home and give the help needed.
Military over seas should have some options of course.
