I started as soon as it started growing in, years before it was fashionable. And like mark12 I'd go in streaks, sometimes letting it grow back for months or years, but it was always something I came back to. Then eight years ago I went with the permanent solution and had it all removed by laser. For about a year I had no hair at all. Since then there has been some re-growth (about 2 to 3 percent of what was there originally) and I generally shave this off whenever I shave my face.

OK, about laser hair removal.

Most people require between two and six laser sessions spaced several weeks apart for complete removal, depending on the color of the hair, its density and other factors.

I had one on my chest, but it wasn't nearly as hairy as most men's, two on my underarms, again not as hairy as most men's, and three on by genital area. By genital area I mean all the way around, from slightly above my navel, down and around to slightly above my anus. The entire pubic region. I paid fifteen hundred dollars for these six sessions.

I believe the cost has come down in recent years as more practitioners have entered the field. Also, my practitioner was a licensed medical doctor (MD), so that might have made his price somewhat higher. One need not be an MD to do laser hair removal.
