What I don’t understand is how can a gallon of gasoline be cheaper than a gallon of milk, by the time you pump the crude out of the ground process it in the refineries ship it to the ports, truck it out to the stations and milk, just find a cow which there are plenty of them and milk it, does that sound too technical lol.

I found that getting plate numbers and getting law enforcement on them don’t work, police have to be there to catch them red handed, showing a video of a customer walking out with merchandise will not hold up in court, but what retail stores train there employees to do is, when you see a suspicious person you think might be shoplifting, go to them and ask them if they need help, give them service and let them know your watching them and usually they just leave there basket and walk out the door and go somewhere else to shoplift. There are training modules that show employees how to deter shoplifters by offering exceptional customer service.

What’s funny is, we have shoplifters come into the store and run out the door with bags full of groceries not paid for, associates are not allowed to touch them or even stop them or they will be terminated immediately and all those shoplifters know that they can’t be stopped so they steal all day long. So when we have our yearly inventory and we come up $50 thousand short the company raises the price of the food in the stores to compensate for the loss, so you, the consumer pays for the loss from the theft. Publix supermarkets are self insured so they don’t receive money from insurance. The employees also take a loss on there stock to cover the losses.

Over the years working in retail, I’ve seen many many times people that come to the counter to purchase some food with food stamps, they take there food stamps or card out to pay for there food and what do I see in there wallet,,, hundreds of dollars that there carrying in there wallet, doesn’t look like they need food stamps to me, especially when I see them get in there 60 thousand dollar vehicle to probably go to the next store to use the other food stamps that they get illegally from the government, and that’s no lie. I’ve heard many stories from some associates that scam the government to get food stamps. I also seen customers coming into the stores and buying hundreds of dollars of buy one get one free items and after the sale, they return the items back to the store to get full price back, anotherwords, if they have two of each item, say twenty different items at bogo, they return half to one store and the duplicate other half to another store, but without a receipt showing that they purchased it at bogo prices they can only get a gift card with the value of the food, no money without the receipt but intern, they make twice as much back on what they paid. So now they can get double the amount of groceries for half the price and there’s nothing the stores can do about it, it happens all day every day, I see it.

I don’t eat breakfast on the five days that I work, my first meal of the day is my lunch break at work at about 2 pm. Off work at 5pm, eat dinner at 6 pm, take a nap for an hour or two, eat another meal at 10 pm, and eat all kinds of sugary foods like ice cream and cake till about 1 am then go to bed about 2 am, get up at 6:15 am and start it all over again. I couldn’t gain weight if I tried, I’ve been stuck at about 185 lbs for many years, don’t go up or down.
