Happy new year! I am resting today after spending 12 hours doing something really cool yesterday. We have a lower level of our restaurant that is used occasionally for super exclusive dining. It holds 22 people and last night we did an eight course meal with drink pairings (some non-alcoholic).
You don't know what you're having for dinner until you arrive for your reservation (which has a $100 nonrefundable deposit).
You eat and drink what you are served and there are no options. It is a 2.5 hour service and costs $175 per person.
We do this once a month and we always sell out the day we announce it. We have never had a customer forfeit their deposit by not showing up.

I know that after dinner the cleanup is huge but once they're in your house you have many volunteers and of course many hands make light work.

The gravy would be used for the turkey and/or mashed potatoes so if it is too salty just tell people not to put salt on their turkey or mashed potatoes.
Another thing to do would be to add some wine or water to water it down. If it becomes too thin a little bit of cornstarch and water will thicken it back up.

My Golden rule of spicing anything has always been that you can always add more but you can never take it back.
As an aside, the same rule applies to anger.

I had Christmas dinner with seven people that call me uncle. It was an awesome time When cleanup time came somebody said to make sure that the dog doesn't get the carcass in the garbage. That's what I stepped in to help.
I brought it home (the turkey not the dog!) and it is in my fridge now and tomorrow it will be turkey stew.
I told my niece that I will take her lunch to work one day next week.

Like I said, the kids will probably find a workaround. I just wonder how long it will take for about 50% of the kids to be back online. Maybe they'll learn how to do crazy things like have conversations and maybe their neck will not hurt as much from constantly looking down. Maybe but I honestly think probably not but it's better than doing nothing.

So we should let kids drive, smoke, drink and vote when they're seven years old? Get that government out of there.

I agree. I think I have three or four photos in my profile that were enhanced or created for me by Vita and moeJoe and in all of them I credited them for their artwork. I have never posted an Internet photo that I alleged to be me or my friends. I just don't think this is the place for it. Maybe I'm just a purist (without really awesome Photoshopping skills).

I think that there should be zero tolerance for Internet or AI photos or videos for free theme image contests. If I saw one that was obviously not the contestant I would ask the creator of the contest to consider this for deletion from his or her contest.
