When I get the darn "moonshine" home and I REALLY look it over and I realize this is fake moonshine. It's alcohol/volume content is 17.5% making it 35 proof. What a waste of $30!

WOW! . Sticky moonshine . lovely . They could advertise it as the drink that sticks to your guts like fly paper . Through the teeth round the gums .Look out stomach here it comes .
Well at least you have a mason jar you can reuse but sorry for the disappointment. Did it taste good though? Is the mason jar clear or one of those cool colored ones?
Doesn't Cody make drinks like that?
(But I'm sure his product is much better.)
Your experience reminds me of absinthe for sale in liquor stores in modern-day...just how much absinthe is actually in the bottle?

What did you think of that crew cut on Jeorge Jones?
You mentioned absinthe, I never heard of it, had to Google. So the taste of absinthe is compared to Ouzo and I like Ouzo.
Maybe it would be good in your coffee or tea Bella... You know, a breakfast moonshine.
I knew a preacher that made it behind his house in the 70's for car fuel. The tanks and some other stuff are still there.
He said the government got to be so annoying he quit.
It seemed unlikely to me so I Googled the relevant US Law:

I wouldn't want you, or your moonshine buddies, to end up locked up or fined! Maybe advice/law has changed since April 15 last year.
The preacher I knew had a permit to make it as car fuel. But as stated, it got to be a hassle trying to prove to the boogieman that he was burning it in his car.
There is or was a permit process, keep googling.
If it aint been cloroxed off the net like so many other things.
Nah, YOU fucking Google it. We're surely not having that argument again?
If you assert something, YOU prove it.
"Federal law provides no exemptions for the production of distilled spirits for personal or family use. Under no circumstances should you ever distil or sell alcohol without a permit."
Cheers.
This straight guy has me totally confused so needless to say, I chose not to comment on his picture.
And employs about 1.5 million people.
I'm curious though, why aren't the police, firefighters, grocers, the waste companies and their workers, volunteers, etc being applauded for providing service during this time?
People across the UK have taken part in a second "Clap for Carers" tribute, saluting NHS staff and other key workers dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
Delivery drivers, supermarket staff, care workers and bin collectors were among those honoured by the nation as well .
Households banged pots and pans, while others played the bagpipes to show their support.

Hope the link works for you, all the way over there!
Ted's right though: it's become a much wider expression of gratitude.

He also once said "Illness is neither an indulgence for which people have to pay, nor an offence for which they should be penalised, but a misfortune the cost of which should be shared by the community" - particularly apposite in these troubling times?
