Between yesterday and today, I've received a large dose of REALITY with regard to how much, in general, things cost. Oi!

Yesterday I was at the grocery store and purchased a half pound of Boars Head smoked turkey... the price was $14.99 per pound. Since I had what I perceived as enough lunch meat/deli meat for 4 sandwiches, I don't want a large loaf of bread so I had hoped to buy individual rolls or croissants. This grocery store (not a bakery) was selling prepackaged croissants priced at $18.99 per pound! Grapes were $7.99 per pound! UNBELIEVABLE! Today, between the pool and my dental appointment, I decide I want a White Castle, you know, "gut grenades" aka Sliders. Yeah, the 2 inch x 2 inch piece of mystery meat complete with 5 holes, are now 96 cents and still only 4 bites per slider!

Apparently, I'm going to have to stay home!

Yea, I know, things are out of sight price wise and no end to it in sight either.
I used to treat myself to a 4 dollar pack of beef jerky, not anymore,it is like 7.99 for the same shit.
we aint talking but maby 2 years ago at the most that the price was much cheaper.
a jug of simple green antifreeze for a car, 4 dollars higher a gallon than not long ago,oil,1 quart of 30 weight, was 2.66 a bottle in 2021,now 4 and some change.

What you never heard of red beet eggs I love them they’re is two different ways of making them the maroon eggs are German and the pink ones are Pennsylvania Dutch both are the same ingredients the difference is bringing your red beets vinegar sugar to a boil before soaking the eggs in

👍 A welder. That is a good skill. My oldest grandson had all kinds of scholarships, just like his mom, my daughter. One day he comes home and anounced to his mom that he quit college and got into a apprenticeship program to become a welder. Why? He likes it that he gets to build things. Like I told my daughter, Johsua is doing something that makes him happy and pays well.

my dad was a welder for a company for 30 years, I learned some from him,some in high school,then in college I took auto body and learned mig welding there. I always was taught to learn how to do more than 1 thing,and they not be related, that way you have several ways of earning a living under your belt. I didn't weld for my job but I do repairs for local brick masons and farmers when their stuff breaks.
