To me, your blog is your safe space. I won't come looking there to challenge your ideas, even though people come on my personal page to try to challenge me, which I'm fine with.
The forums I consider the market square. That's where everyone should expect their ideas to get challenged, but there should still be something like civility. If Gentlemen thinks everything goes, then he's no gentlemen. However, if he calls Trump everything bad possible, that's not attacking you personally, that's attacking your ideas.
Still something I reserve for the forums, but commonly accepted behavior otherwise.

Yes, it did. Because of a dispute over immigration, no less.
Rutte handed in his resignation and is not going to return.
His four-party coalition is now 'demissionair' (outgoing).
That means they are not allowed to make big decisions any more.
They agreed to handle the most urgent problems by majorities,
but several problems are now delayed until the next coalition
can start. We get to vote on 22th of November. Then they need
to create a new coalition, which took 299 days last time.
So it looks like we could be without a government for maybe a year.
The way Rutte handled our government, I don't know if that's worse.

where children need to be taught to run and hide for school shooters.
I would say; show them hard core porn, the inside of slaughterhouses, prison executions, cops killing or fucking up black people, drugs users at the end of their lives, what lungs look like after decades of smoking, what not being able to afford insulin does to a diabetic, the violence of lunatic right-wingers against minorities, and other things like that, at a young enough age, to become used to it, because they need to grow up fast, to be able to survive in your society.
OK, I might be a little sarcastic now, but I like to have fun sometimes.
Kids grown up in the city get to witness murders in the streets of their own kind BY their own kind, they get to suffer the effects of theft, filth, overpopulation and so on.
Kids growing up out in the country, they learn how to hunt for food, take a dead deer and make it into hamburger for the family, they get to learn how to maintain their homes, cars etc, so the enviromint a kid grows up in does make a difference.

I have gotten to the point I don't watch many movies or tv.
I get tired of a movie with a good plot line being chopped up with a fucking "love story". Stick to the plot of dealing with the bad guys or getting to the moon or whatever.

I sort of understand the feeling, but I appreciate more complicated plot lines in movies. If some 'love story' is credibly woven in, that only improves it for me.
I love movies and series who explore multiple plot lines simultaneously.
I think it's more true to life, to have more than one goal.
And it stimulates my brain, to think about more than one possibility.
I don't like it when movies are predictable.
