Congratulations to the Candian people ,hopefully you will get a stronger leader that won't hide when a few trucks form a convoy. The writing is on the wall that so many people are so upset and fed up with the way things are going.
Actually, Justin Trudeau has been very neoliberal, which means liking privatization.
He's like our right-wingers, who destroyed all public ownership and privatized it.
To countries like Canada and The Netherlands, he's to the right.
People are angry at neoliberals, because they solve all problems by making people pay for them privately, instead of solving problems publicly. People are also stupid, because their anger about that makes them turn to the right and vote for conservatives.
Right-wing conservatives make people pay for EVERYTHING privately, and never solve any problems at all. Solving problems is not their thing. They only care about making the rich richer.
If Canada elects a right-winger, they will probably lose their public healthcare, like we did in The Netherlands. They can then expect it to become much more expensive and expect to pay more out of their own pockets.

If you believe these tariffs are really about the minimal immigrants and drugs from Canada, that is your choice.. I believe it’s just a distraction, like the invasions.. He’s not going to be able to keep any of his campaign promises, but he’s in now.. he doesn’t have to. There won’t be lower prices on food, gas, and housing.. they’re all going to go up.. substantially too.. Tariffs do that.
These tariffs are definitely going to hurt Canada, no doubt, but we survived it last time.. Trump is not only talking of imposing tariffs on Canada and Mexico, but China and Europe as well. That is going to hurt the US economy. I think you’re in for an eye opener. The rest of the world is already exploring new market alternatives. I read yesterday that China is in the process of a billion dollar wheat/soy deal with Argentina, instead of US wheat because they consider Trump too unstable economically to get a deal done.

As for leaving? ..after 9 years of downward spiral, everybody has had enough, including his own party. He was forced into stepping down as his party leader. He does not want it ..but has no choice.
To me it is a far fetched idea but at least it would be easier to get the oil down here.

I’m in my 60’s and have had 4 surgeries in my life.. the longest I had to wait was for wrist surgery.. about 2 months. A friend this summer had his appendix rupture while he was camping. We almost lost him.. He was a couple of hours from a hospital.. but the ambulance came and rushed him in.. He had emergency surgery same day and all was good. His wife will tell you our healthcare is awesome.
I think our healthcare gets a bit of a bad rap.. it’s not perfect, that’s for sure but, it’s not as bad as you think… and it’s free apart from parking, the parking fees go directly to the hospital for snow removal and such. It sure beats the hell out of fighting with an insurance company on whether you’re even covered or not.. after paying into it no less.. and come May 2025, all Canadian households making less than 70K a year get free dental.. yes Free dental.
If needed, I can see my doctor the same day. If it's serious,
the doctor will visit you at home. My doctor has a bit weird system,
where I just walk into the office at 8:00 and put my name on a list.
Then I can wait until I'm called, or I can just walk back home for a while,
because I live about 500 ft from the doctor's office.
For a kidney problem or cancer, we hardly have any waiting lists.
It only takes the time needed to do the tests and to decide on the treatment.
It was like this when we still had the social healthcare system and that is still
the same under the privatized healthcare system.
What changed was how much we need to pay for it ourselves.
A lot of medication we now pay for ourselves or it's within the deductible.
And dental care is no longer in the basic insurance. There is no use to get insurance for dental care, because the insurance is almost always more expensive than just paying for it yourself, unless you have bad teeth, requiring constant care.
Extractions by a dental surgeon are covered by basic insurance, including the anesthetic. So, everyone is having their extractions in the hospital.
Dentures are also mostly covered. The result is that many poor people just let
their teeth rot away, until they all get extracted in one go and they get dentures.
I can only remember you calling him lots of other terms,
or downright denying he was the president at all.
Democrats have no problem accepting reality, you lot have.
Besides US law and canadian law is not the same.
