I mentioned the other day about the high water condition along Michigan's Great Lakes..... The high water has caused a good deal of flooding for many homeowners and has led authorities to implement and enforce "No Wake" zone(s). The Sheriff(s) will issue tickets, that are upwards of $250.00 and dependent upon the size of the water craft, to boaters not following this rule/law. What is laughable is to see the Sheriff's souped up boat, blue lights flashing, boat going full throttle, in pursuit of a ticketable offender creating a massive wake!

I have never been "face to face" with a census taker collecting information HOWEVER during the last census, I had a "SORRY YOU WEREN'T HOME" card between my door indicating that they had paid me a call without success. The card provided a name and number and I completed the survey via phone with the census taker.

Has anyone noticed that there are several, at least 3, profiles that are verified but have changed the "dynamics" of the profile?

I probably have confused you so I'm going to be more specific.

- There was one profile that I personally verified a SYD/male member HOWEVER the pictures of the male that I verified have now been removed and the profile is now that of a female. Hmmmmm......

- I've noticed that there were SYD members verified that now seem to be "a couple" and now the "couple" is primarily uploading pictures of "her". My opinion, if you are a couple, you should be verified as a couple.

I do find verification quite problematic. I know you and CC54 take verification seriously so the issue you raise is disturbing. I am quite cautious even when interacting with verified members.
I have taken a personal decision not to verify a new member until they have been here for some time yet after I decline to do that others do verify them almost the day after they join.

The number of real women behind SYC profiles is the biggest mystery, therefore the number of female pictures popping up on verified SYD profiles should be of concern. Yes, I was surprised to find the profile of the SYD member that I verified is now 100% female and I have no clue who she is. What is also interesting is that I reached out to her with my concern and "she" has ignored my 3 different messages. I removed my verification however there were enough that initially verified the profile that the profile remains verified.

It has been a long time "ploy" for some male members that are not getting the attention that they crave to spice up their profiles with pictures of their "girlfriends" so to be verified as a male then add a female to your profile...... ODD!

Who can verify other members?
- Any verified member whose registration date is older than 1 year ago.

- How verification is done?
- Just ask via private messaging any member who is able to verify (see this list) to verify you. Verification can be made by meeting in real life, video chatting via Skype or other means like that or by showing private or public picture with some kind of written proof, for example - your nickname over your body written by marker. If they are convinced they can verify you. At least 3 different members are required to get the verified status. More is better, because if some of the 3 members deletes from the site, you lose the status.

- What happens if you give a false verify?
- In case if it's discovered that verified member is actually a fake, all members who verified this member get their verified status revoked, their ability to verify permanently blocked and all verifications given by them in past to other members are also revoked which may cause further "chain reaction".
