These old-time game shows are such a hoot! The Japanese game shows are humiliating and sadistic!

I use to like the one were contestants charged up a hill and people at the top rolled objects down at them

There was a game show like that? Like I said, the Japanese have a weird sense of humor, they seem to take pleasure by inflicting some pain and humiliation. The British game shows were weird, too, Don't Forget Your Toothbrush and Beat the Crusher. I would be devastated if my car was crushed and I wasn't the one who won a new car.

I miss the old Nickelodeon one where they slimed people or they had to do gross stuff like pick a giant nose for boogers.
By bella! [Ignore] 11,Jun,21 13:26 other posts
That program was introduced a little after "my time".

Cool air is on the way the temperature dropped from the 90s down to the 70s this afternoon unfortunately it’s touching off violent thunderstorms in Pennsylvania

Trying to move some stuff and do some grading and tree cutting. Got to have 3 tandem loads of dirt hauled in.Thank goodness I have a tractor to spread it all with!A shovel in this weather would kill me for sure.
By bella! [Ignore] 10,Jun,21 23:06 other posts
It is this type of weather that I wouldn't want to be part of a construction.

The temp has been in the mid 80's and our humidity has been high, too. At least it's not 105 like it is for Jamie.
By bella! [Ignore] 10,Jun,21 20:39 other posts
105!? And you are in Texas so I know the humidity is high, too!
By #574505 10,Jun,21 22:12

I was in San Antonio in the month of August about 18 years ago. I remember it being so hot that once you left the hotel to walk to the car, you were perspiring! Sorry, my friend, Texas is too hot for me!
By #574505 10,Jun,21 22:28
That's my home town
By bella! [Ignore] 10,Jun,21 22:46 other posts
Then you know how hot San Antonio is. I recall a couple years ago you posted a picture of snowfall at home. Do you still live in the same general area of Texas?
By #574505 10,Jun,21 22:49
I live 45 miles away from Amerillo
By bella! [Ignore] 10,Jun,21 23:04 other posts
But it's possible that it still will snow where you live, right?
By #574505 10,Jun,21 23:12
Yes

Yes, and Texas is 1 hour behind us. Yep, at the time of Jamie's post it was only 06:12 and already 73 degrees. It's going to be a scorcher!

Not in my neck of the woods 70 for a day time high and raining

Those little bastards are out in full force! Yep, I'm talking about blood sucking mosquitoes. So with the mosquitoes out and about, the fish flies aren't too far behind....
By #642199 09,Jun,21 08:06
Just ask Saggy or Shitpukebucket to open their legs a bit, the smell should keep them away.
By bella! [Ignore] 09,Jun,21 10:04 other posts
I'll try anything if it's guaranteed to repel mosquitoes and fish flies!
By #642199 09,Jun,21 13:37
I had to google fish flies, and eww. Those don’t sound pleasant at all. We have a huge fire ant problem, and spiders.
By bella! [Ignore] 09,Jun,21 18:01 other posts
The invasion of the fish flies, sometimes referred to as Mayflies (although the come in June) is something that affects southeast Michigan. I don't know if 2nice deals with this problem on his side of the state.

The fish flies hatch out on the lake and when they fly to shore at sundown, it looks like a big black cloud. They allegedly keep our lakes clean which promotes more fish. The nasty buggers are attracted to lights and light colors. Sometimes when they land on the road, and I'm not speaking of 1 or 2, I'm speaking of thousands, it causes many cars to slide, like driving on ice, when you attempt to stop. The lifespan of a fishfly is 24 to 48 hours and for the record, they smell.

Actually, I Google'd fish flies and mayflies. They look totally different and what we have look like mayflies, I've been calling them fish flies for 100 years and I'm going to stick with that.

Yuck. That reminds me of the alkaline or brine flies that eat the brine shrimp in Utah. A few years ago I had went to visit a guy I was dating and he took me to this Salt bed lake area and there were thousands of those things.
By 2nice [Ignore] 09,Jun,21 21:27 other posts
No fish flies on my side of Michigan, Bella. You need to move to the west side. We have much better beaches, far less traffic, and oh, no fish flies.
By bella! [Ignore] 09,Jun,21 23:16 other posts
I wonder if the fishfly phenomenon is a Lake St. Clair thing?
By dgraff [Ignore] 10,Jun,21 06:02 other posts
We have a mayfly problem in Pennsylvania on the Susquehanna river to some times they have to close the bridges down till they get a front end loader in to scrape them off the road
By Andthisisme [Ignore] 10,Jun,21 06:05 other posts
I have seen film of that, it is truly incredible the number of the mayflys that suddenly appear !!
By bella! [Ignore] 09,Jun,21 18:04 other posts
By the way, I am not aware if Michigan is plagued with fire ants but I can say that I do not like spiders.
By phart [Ignore] 09,Jun,21 23:35 other posts
Fire ants can't go that far north. to cold.
I hate fire ants, and they are taking over and hard to get rid of.
By dgraff [Ignore] 10,Jun,21 06:04 other posts
We have small pockets of fire ants in Pennsylvania not real common but we have them here

Hey, why didn't you post this in one of the many knock off threads belonging to TWOWARMTTS3 or ANGEL1227! ? My guess is that you might have received a legitimate response or were you concerned it could have swayed the other way where she ripped you a new one?
