This is for all the Liverpool members on the site . Tonight 23/04/2020 at 20.00 . I shall be putting my music player on my door step and playing Gerry's you'll never walk alone for my applauding neighbours. . To honour all the wonderful people who look after and care for us . The list is enormous. . And our gratitude to them is equally as enormous . Also the song will be played to honour Captain Tom Moore for his tremendous effort to raise millions for the NHS . I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Federal government stimulus check was deposited into my checking account overnight. The $1200.00 I received was a far cry less than the 8.2 million received by some fella in Indiana! 😳

The irony being that if he was a stupid person there would be nowhere for him to spend a shitload of money right now.
The Canadian government is giving every unemployed person $2,000 per month and $500 per child for four months. Coupled with the (reasonably) low death count of 1,006 as of today and healthcare I feel confident that I can ride this out on my couch. Technically I was laid off due to lack of work so I'm entitled to Employment Insurance for eight months.
Our biggest failure is in the seniors homes where they were woefully unprepared for this and many homes have large losses of life.

Almost EVERYONE is getting a stimulus check providing you meet certain income requirements. It's $1200.00 for single folks, $2400.00 for married and that amount could go up by $500.00 per dependent based on your last year's income tax filing.

When I heard they were going to send money out to Americans, I sent a suggestion, to a couple sources, that they (the government), should make a way for those that don't honestly need the stimulus money, the ability to return it. I don't think they got it...

No that is not true, it is considered a "credit" against your 2020 taxes!

Interesting! When I searched for the song I was surprised to see that the group was the Safaris, that didn't ring a bell with me. I went back and found the group I remembered, the Ventures. I wonder if they are one and the same?

To the best of my memory, the song Wipe out belongs to the Safaris back in 1963-64 The Ventures are a completely separate group that dose a lot of the safaris music. And they do a good job doing so, IMHO Wipe out is done best by the Safaris hands down,But on the other hand the ventures do Pipe line like no other can. This is music from the good days!
