I received an email at approximately 09:00pm on June 4 (yesterday), from FPL (Florida Power & Light), stating that my home in Florida was without electricity. The email went on to say that their crews were working on the problem and anticipate that full power would be restored by 12:30am, June 5. Why the heck isn't Michigan's DTE Energy unable to provide a similar type of communication when we encounter power outages? 🤔

Note several things about this cartoon.
1, the FLY, buzzing around joes backside, must have pooped again.
2, the ice cream in the holder on the walker.
3,the teleprompter attached to the walker.
4, the wheels are backwards on the walker.

I really appreciate and like my immediate neighbors. We are close in age, he's about 5 or 6 years younger than me, she's 2 or 3 years younger and I find there's a good deal of commonality between us (plus they enjoy sipping cocktails on the patio in the warm weather 😁. Anyway, yesterday I'm talking with him and gosh, I can't remember how we got talking about stuff that led me to talk about growing up in my old neighborhood 50 years ago. I mentioned my childhood girlfriend and I called her by her first and last name. He says, that's my wife's maiden name and went on to spell the surname exactly like my friend. I mentioned that as a young girl, they would invite me along to go for the ride to visit her grandma. Grandma's house was located on the St. Clair River, perhaps 15 miles away from where I/we live now. He says, his wife's grandma lived in that area/city, too. WOW! Is it even possible that my new neighbors are a link to my friend from the past?
When she gets home, I shoot over there to discuss a couple of things then I spin the conversation to this "coincidental" conversation her husband and I had. To my surprise, my friend, Elaine, yes, that's her name, Elaine happens to be my neighbor's cousin. Elaine and I were BEST friends since elementary school and for as long as I can remember. We were friends through high school but in our senior year, we took different paths, she left her parents home shortly after graduation and I lost contact with her. My neighbor even remembered that period of time where Elaine got rebellious and changed. My neighbor hasn't heard from or about Elaine in many years however thinks another relative might have the pulse on Elaine's whereabouts. It would be really exciting if I am able to reconnect with my childhood friend that I haven't seen or spoken to 40 plus years.

Brakes weren't the only issues on these motorhomes. It appears to be similar enough to the 1 I used to work on for a friend. P30 Chevy chassis, like a bread truck. cruise control stuck on the my friend had, got up to a 110 and he finally just switched the key off, brakes were getting to hot, nothing would slow it down. It blew off both mufflers and tail pipes and left them on the interstate but he was able to stop, jurk the cruise loose and go ahead with the trip.
His blogs most certainly are STOOPID! But the reason I'm responding is perhaps you "EXCLUDED" his stupidity by mistake.
Try this, go to blogs /blogs/ See the little little [x] to the right of the titles? If you click or clicked on that, you are indicating to the system that you want to EXCLUDE anything this writer posts. Try it out, click on the [x] .
Now, if you want to verify and/or see what you've excluded, you can click on Excluded/Selected heading at the top of the page. /blogs/excluded.php Try it, click on that link. Now when it jumps you to the Excluded page, you can say reverse anything there by clicking on just one of [x] and it sends THAT AUTHOR back to the complete side.
You fellas gotta remember to watch your big ol' man fingers because they often go rogue on you.
Although the donut isn't "celebrated" worldwide on June 2, I'm curious whether you enjoy donuts and if so, what is your favorite donut? Me, I like things plain, with that said, the plain brown donut happens to be my fav!
Although a glazed donut is not my first choice, the are a'ight!
Do you have Krispy Kreme shops in Pennsylvania? When they were opening up in Michigan, people absolutely raved about them! I tried a Krispy Kreme once and once was enough. This darn donut was so sweet, it made my teeth ache!
Hey, dgraff, I ordered one donut from Dunkin Donuts for you and Door Dash is going to deliver. Look for this guy, he's new but I was assured he's dependable and on the way!
Dgraff, I am the kitchen manager of two restaurants in the same building served out of one kitchen. One restaurant is Italian with pizza, pastas etc. and the other is a smokehouse. My job involves a lot of handling meat to smoke like chicken pieces for salads and sandwiches, meatloaf, dry ribs, St Louis ribs, pork for pulled pork and our signature brisket. Oh yeah, sausages to go with pirogies and beets for a salad. I use apple chips because it has a mellow taste.
The brisket and pork go for 15 hours overnight from the time I leave until the time I get back in the morning.
Evidently that is the second favourite dish for Brits. Bizarrely, if the radio is to be believed the brit's favourite dish is now 'Chicken Tikka Masal'. I just did the obvious Google search and found the favourite British dish seemed to vary depending upon which survey you looked at, but Fish and Chips was often 1st or second.
Having seen a number of Gordon Ramsey reruns on YouTube gave me the impression that you Brits love simple yet tasty "Fish & Chips"! And how will you be celebrating today in the UK?
It depends on what you're going to boil and I suspect, how long you intend to boil it.
I'm certain that you are familiar with these cuts of meat because they can indeed be boiled. They are;
● Corned beef
● Picnic hams
● Beef brisket*
*I've heard that beef brisket can be partially boiled to speed up the cooking process, then finished in a smoker. I wonder whether anyone has prepared a brisket in that way and if they have, what are their thoughts?
I boil short ribs before I put them on the BBQ with a chimichurri sauce. The three you mentioned I cook in the crock pot in chicken broth and a tomato sauce. I cook it with boiled cabbage carrots, quartered boiled potatoes and let it slow cook for 20 plus hours.
Oh, my! At his age he’s lucky if he didn’t crack a bone. We are going to hear about this ad-infinitum aren’t we?🤣🤣😈 --------------------------------------- added after 4 minutes
Ok, this is as good a place as any. Who believes no president should run if older than 65 but allowed to finish his term if he goes over the limit?
Article 2 of the U.S. Constitution stipulates that our President would need to meet the 35 years old minimum age requirement. So that's the starting base.
In my opinion, a President should not exceed the age of 76 years of age. With that said, no candidate over the age of 72 should be considered for the position of POTUS and in the event that a 72 year old person wins the election, their term is over in 4 years, presuming that they do not die while in office.
I think the American citizens should consider amending the Constitution to cap the age of potential Presidenit/candidates.
Funny the other day I was talking to a woman in the women's locker room at the pool and she mentioned that she had some type of procedure performed by a doctor that she referred to as a "young guy". I said "young guy", heck NO, I want my doctors, dentist, PCP, Specialist to fall into the "pocket" of being between the age of 40 to 60-ish. I don't want them too young that I'm their experimental guinea pig. Nor do I want them too old that they are not up on "current procedures". She agreed with me 100% and guessed that her doctor was late 50's and to her, that was young.
As far as the top end age for a U.S. President, 72 and out of the Oval Office no later than 76 is workable.
Yes it is, because ,when someone that age has a hip break, they never really come back.
I am just wondering if that is why the sand bag was put there? Why the hello was there a sandbag there anyway?
In this thumbnail of the video you can clearly see a black sandbag. According to this report, the sandbag was holding the ever important teleprompter
Notice the uniformed man seated directly behind President Biden as he lay on the stage. I wonder what he was laughing about? Seems like it might not have been the best time to be laughing, just sayin'.....

Do you mean the debt ceiling the disaster you democrats created by wanting to raise the ceiling by trillions yeah right Joe Biden you’re hero saved the day again funny how he creates disaster then gets credit from you for saving the day
No, you know what's funny? How your Savior, that big Clown, ran our debt out of the park. Biden didn't create the debt. He just needed to pay on it. That's something even Trumpo had to do. God, you guys are so uninformed. Looks like that "finishing school" finished you. 🤪 --------------------------------------- added after 33 minutes
Here, baby, learn something.
The debt ceiling was raised 74 times from March 1962 to May 2011, including 18 times under Ronald Reagan, eight times under Bill Clinton, and seven times under George W. Bush. Congress has raised the debt ceiling 14 times from 2001 to 2016.
The current House debt ceiling bill provided $886 billion in defense spending for fiscal 2024, an increase of 3% year over year. That figure rises to $895 billion in 2025, an increase of 1%. --------------------------------------- added after 34 minutes
THAT'S DEFENSE SPENDING.YOU KNOW, TO KEEP THE BEAR AND THE DRAGON AT BAY?
Let’s be clear: This deal wasn’t a victory for anyone, any more than narrowly avoiding plummeting off a cliff is a victory for a driver. Democrats should have lifted the debt ceiling permanently last year and never let Republicans leverage threatening the American economy. Instead, we have an agreement that further tightens work requirements on hungry Americans. (Some will point to the Congressional Budget Office’s score that said newly exempted categories of people, such as applicants who are experiencing homelessness, will actually expand the food stamp program; experts are skeptical.) It cuts IRS funding, thereby reducing scrutiny of tax cheats (and increasing the deficit). It aggravates climate change by expediting one of the pet projects of Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va. And it asks nothing in revenue from the wealthy or from the corporations that have made out like bandits, most recently under President Donald Trump’s 2017 tax cuts.
May I remind you that he budgeted that and Congress voted FOR THE RAISING OF THE DEBT CEILING ONLY? You talk alot but your Repucker buddies voted FOR it --------------------------------------- added after 53 minutes
No. It won't help. You guys have one track mind and don't care about the FACTS.

You people are fucked in the head we republicans met old sloppy joe halfway in order to prevent the disaster joe was about to create and who in their right mind would re-elect this old fuck he needs a visit to doctor kovorkian to schedule a mercy killing
IS there any old rusty volkswagon campervans left for the Dr to drive? Gota maintain that old fucked up,grey haired liberal hippy look when you go around helping people take themselves out.
