I find it hard to wrap my head around violence over fast food. This weekend I witnessed craziness at the local McDonald's, yep, I did! I was sitting in the back of the place and could hear a big commotion going on approximately 25 feet away. There was a dissatisfied, middle-aged woman that was unhappy with her fast-food purchase. The young woman taking care of her offered to remake the entire order OR refund her money. Apparently there would be no way to satisfy the customer so the manager on duty felt it necessary to call 9-1-1 to quell the situation. If that wasn't enough, the angry customer also called 9-1-1 to bitch about what was going down at McDonald's. Damn if 3 cars with 5 Sheriffs didn't respond. Thank goodness the only "weapon" involved was the lady's foul mouth and bad attitude.
I thought it might have been lixsipsucket and she was upset because she thought a whole side of beef should be on the bun instead of a quarter pound burger 🍔
I know you're putting a SYD/SYC spin on this but people are getting so angry about NOTHING! Why would a Subway employee be shot and killed because he or she put too much mayo on the customer's sandwich? Unless the Subway set-up is different in Georgia to a couple of years ago when I had a Subway sub in Michigan, other than meat and cheese that is already premeasured, you watch the worker construct your sandwich based on what you ask them to use. As far as what happened in my town, that was unbelievable that a customer would call 9-1-1 because they were not happy with their McDonald's purchase! For cryin' out loud, did the customer expect the sheriffs to arrest the McDonald's employee? Geez, the world is fucked up and I'm packing my bags and moving to the Netherlands!!
Fuck the Netherlands... Come to Oz, We will put you for awhile if you can handle me screaming at TV when Rugby is on.
We are so desensitised now to what happens over there. Was trying to make light of it abit but at the end of the day another tragedy 😔. So glad we live on this big island/continent
I'm really disgusted and angry about how Americans choose to react and deal with things. Too much mayo warrants a gun to be used? One person is dead and the other in critical condition because of mayonnaise! For real? As for me saying that I'm packing my bags and moving to the Netherlands, I only said the Netherlands because Anas2xLeker always boasts about his country.
It’s a known fact that when money gets tight people get a little crazy and I’m afraid it’s going to get worse in the next 2 years protect your self Bella pack your 32 beretta with a tip up barrel in your garter belt and be ready for anything
the lockdowns we all suffered thru during the plandemic literally have driven people mad.
And Frankly people are tired of shitty service, slow moving workers and quality of products being lousy while the price is higher than it ever has been.
I went by Hardee's monday morning to get a biscut,5 employee's in the place. ordered, and it was almost 15 minutes to get a biscut.I don't know what they were doing back there but but they were SLOW. Second time I have gotten slow service at that place in 2 weeks.
I agree, shooting is not justified. BUT when people are already on the brink of exploding mentally and then that 1 more thing happens, it is the straw that broke the camels back.
You never know when that person has had a bad day.
phart, this is not said to piss you off....you seem like an impatient person. Okay, I get it, you went to a fast food place anticipating getting your food fast and you waited approximately 15 minutes. How did you use that 15 minutes? Were you able to chit chat with whoever you went with? When you got your biscuit, it had to be fresh-n-hot and mighty delicious! You have to recognize that regardless of what they're paying, no one wants to work fast food. So if they're slow, don't go there, your money will spend anywhere.
Well, I am sitting in a pickup truck in the drive thru, towing a long trailer. due to slow service there was a vehicle sitting up ahead in the waiting zone. this in turn prompted me to curb the tires on 1 side to get out. no one to chat with, I was alone as always. Food was ok, food is always suitable there, just SLOW ,with 5 people working, only 5 cars in the drive thru, no one in the dining room, makes no sense for slow service.
I will be the first to say that I know nothing about what makes a restaurant hum although I recognize that fast-food restaurants are notorious for not paying big wages therefore they cannot attract the "cream of the crop" as far as employees go.
I know when I pop into my local McDonald's, I choose to walk into the building rather than wait in the drive-thru. Even when I go into the restaurant I wait to be waited on because in my estimation, McDonald's focus is on the drive-thru clientele. Were you aware that the workers wearing the red hats are under 16 years of age versus the over 16 year old that is given a black hat. Also, the young folks are often restricted to the number of hours they can work as well as a "curfew" time that they cannot work beyond that is mandated by government. Bottom line, there's a lot of red hats in my local McDonald's and either I deal with their propensity of not being in tune with the customer that walks into the restaurant OR go elsewhere.
Mountain Man, I’ve noticed it a few times before. When the economy/employment gets tight, people get short tempered. My beef is with the gun. It makes it too easy to apiece the anger some people feel.
As far as this “Karen” is concerned, who knows what happened before she ended up in this MacDonalds
I’m a sane man and not nearly as stupid as I let on or as people think and I feel the pressure our economy has put upon me yet i don’t feel the need to shoot any one unless of corse they are trying to do me bodily harm
Yea,hurting or cussing the low level employee stuck out there to asorb your anger like a sponge does nothing to fix the problem. Take it to management if it gets to that point.
As in the case I referred to above, I just told the lady,"gee,I got it today! I actually got my order today!">! she just gave me a shitty look and went on. I guess she didn't get it,I was trying to tell her they were fucking SLOW without saying anything out of line.
Violence yes but not wholesale violence from a distance and violence with anything but a gun takes nerve. Most people shooters are cowards. The gun gives them courage.
A couple of days ago we had a cunt in my restaurant. She ordered a sandwich wrap with no hot sauce that it comes with. The cook inadvertently put hot sauce on it and the server took it out and the customer ate it all. When she was done she told the server that there was hot sauce on it and she wanted another one and the server informed her that because she ate it and we would gladly have made her another one had she informed us of the mistake, that she has to pay for the one she ate. A heated discussion ensued and the server came back and asked me to go out and talk to the customer which I did.
In the end of course the customer paid for her one sandwich and did not receive another one. Had she not eaten the first one I probably would have personally gone out and apologized for our error and put a new one on her table but she was a cunt so I didn’t.
I have met a lot of cunts in the restaurant industry in my life but like everywhere else in life, most people are very nice.
I certainly understand where you're coming from and how the error would have been handled if the server was alerted early on. Customers are demanding but thank goodness your cunt didn't pull out a gun and start shooting all because of hot sauce.
About 1 pm today, I went to town to get some license plates and some parts. While I was enroute to visit a friend after my running around was done,I got hungry. I was in a small town and saw a pizza place beside a grocery store. I thought what the hell, and stopped in.
I walked in and realized right quick this was NOT my kind of place as they served alcohol. But I was hungry, the place was neat and clean and not noisy at all.
I saw about 4 people working there and a cook.
I sat in my seat for about 7 minutes. A lady came out from the kitchen, in a rush. Walked right past me as if I was a salt shaker ,got some menu's from a cabinet and ran right past me again, to another table.
Now I did NOT expect service from her before she waited on other customers. But a bit of courtesy's would have been nice. something like, " be with you in a few minutes" or " hold on,be right there". Just some form of "i know you are there".
But nothing. I sat there another couple minutes, nothing. I didn't blow up the place,I didn't say a word to any one.
I got up, slid the chair back under the table and left.
I walked into the grocery store and got the lunch of champions. A can of potted meat, some crackers and a mt dew.
My guess is that acknowledging the customer is something that upscale ANYTHING will impart on their employees. Again, my guess is that this is taught in the training provided as I've noticed too many times acknowledgement does not happen....that is my experience when I walk into my local McDonald's.
I worked in retail at the Hudsons Bay Company for 10 years and we were told again and again to acknowledge every customer for two reasons. One is because it’s just the right thing to do and it’s polite and the other is it cuts down on shoplifting because the customer is aware that you know they are there.
As a commission sales person the third reason is that if they have any questions about a product it initiates conversation which leads to sales.
What happened to *Blair, member #674561, the new SYC member who happened to be a silicone companion doll? Interestingly enough, there were SYD members that apparently were excited to view her silicone cooter which enabled multiple pictures of her to be found on the SYC Popular page. PA-Freddy , do you know anything about this?
I just wonder had she dated him, would this have helped?
I kinda doubt it.
But you could sit back and think ,perhaps women should think about this when they squawk about the "me to" movement.

Yea, seems cruel, but if you look at the issues we have as a country today, there is little we can do but watch people die.
