Would someone kindly enlighten me, please, what is "silly" about Hanukkah, Christmas and New Years or any other holiday observance in December? Thank you.

It is the season to be silly
.for me it is the most depressing time of the year.
I am reminded when I leave home and see everyone else all happy and jumping around getting ready for the big day and i am reminded I am alone,old and there is just no joy in the season anymore. The best I feel is about january 3rd or so after I know it is all over and I can go out and not see the stuff. I can honestly look at a santa clause and about come to tears. depressing as hell. I remember the times when I was really young it was a fun time , got new clothes,as I got older new tools. Now, it just swap gift cards and well wishes with a few family members.
I have certainly never heard this used to refer to Christmas time.
For me, it was a memorable toy from Santa, it was a dump truck. I don't remember how old I was, I believe that I was under 5 years of age and I had a dump truck that I referred to as a "doop scooper". Strange, I didn't play with neighborhood boys and I don't have any male siblings so I can't imagine why Santa brought me that.....
Hmmmmm....I remember one hundred years ago, I would often "k1d-sit" my nephews. I never referred to it as "babysitting" because they would remind me that they were NOT babies.
The youngest one especially enjoyed sitting in front of the television in order to play video games. One day, when I was k1d-sitting, they began to "annoy" one another. I got involved and broke it up but it didn't stop. I threatened them that if they did not behave, I was going to make them play outside and that made the youngest one whine even more!
I still remember the "clunk" as I pushed the power button, then the quiet whirring sound of the fan inside that sent wind through the reeds to create the notes. I wrote my first songs on that little organ.... (uh ooooh, mushy nostalgic feelings are bubbling in me now!)
Apparently, my mum still had it in her attic until 2000 when she moved to a new house! Sadly, around 20 years of damp and dust left it too dangerous to even try powering up to see if it still worked.
The mostt memorable gift actually given to me was definitely my Star Wars lightsabre in 1978. I was a Jedi... and still am
He's probably not living the lifestyle that he's accustomed to and it's the holidays.....

I'm getting low and on my Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel and need to buy more. There hasn't been a week that has gone by that I haven't made a purchase from Amazon so I turned to Amazon looking for Chanel products. I did find the "parfum" I wanted and the prices varied. Some were at department store prices, some lower, some were a bit more then department stores. Some of the reviews were indicative of purchasers believing that they received a "knock off" version.
Does anyone have any input on any of their Amazon purchases, good or bad ?

As I've noticed this many times, during those contests. I would just let it be and let the voters decide.
You have 5+ members that have followed the rules, now see to it that they are competing in the contest that they signed up for!
Let me leave you with this to ponder, IF you were sponsoring a contest for dogs, would you allow folks to enter their birds, cats, ferrets.....?

Just remember the rules, you can't be rude to members in public places, ie the forum AND members cannot call other members derogatory names, the exception to the rule is members can call bella! whatever they like.
Honestly, I doubt that JustWill or mr_blue are "terrified" about anything that you might post in any thread or "do".
If you would kindly clarify or be specific about what you mean by harassing other members and complaining when I'm "dis'd"?
