What will we do here in the states? Pay more for stuff because of round ups in price? I understand the high cost of the penny being made but we could have contracted that work out to china or india and kept the cost down.

You said that the cost will round up but you forgot about the round down. It works out in the end and it only applies to cash sales not credit cards or debit cards. They go to the penny.

I use a card for paying medical bills then pay it off in a few days, using the rewards i earn to help pay my bill lol,use their little system to my advantage.
What this no penny thing is leading to though is the cashless society that the 1 world government-liberal agenda is pushing for. All the transactions would be electronic, thus trackable, thus taxable, thus controllable. Thus eventually no free enterprise system. your kid wants to run a lemonade stand ,but has to pay for a machine to take cards and electronic means of payment, and would have to pay taxes on the small amount of money they make. All in the future, all needing nipped in the bud before it gets to far gone.
In some states and cities, it is illegal to round up a transaction to the nearest nickel or dime because doing so would run afoul of laws that are supposed to place cash customers and debit and credit card customers on an equal playing field when it comes to item costs.
A spokesman for Kwik Trip, the Midwest convenience store chain, says it has been rounding down every cash transaction to the nearest nickel. That's expected to cost the company roughly $3 million this year.

I was 1 of 3 children and we were all daughters. The life lessons/skills taught should not be geared toward sons, alone. I wish I would have been taught how to change a tire and prepare my own tax returns….. although I can’t recall any specific occasions, my GUESS is my father did change a flat tire or two. As for tax preparation, that annual obligation was given to a paid accountant. I do wish my mother would have held MANDATORY informal “cooking classes” for my sisters and demand I. Sadly, I DO NOT have the knowledge, skill or raw courage to undertake the cooking of a turkey and traditional Thanksgiving Day dinner!

I worked in a major department store once in one of my coworkers was talking about exactly this idea and we thought it was a great one. I still do.
Isn't it ironic that someone could be arrested for not doing Walmart's employees jobs properly? 😄
I wonder why they don't have brooms on the bottom of the carts so we could sweep the floors while we're shopping.
Self service checkouts, ATM’s, Ticketmaster, as well as the kiosks in McDonald’s were created for folks who want to get in and out and don’t want to wait in long lines and with that implementation, did away with a human being! Oi!
It’s not the store; it’s the people who shop there that's keeping me out. Too many rude, malodorous, entitled, pajama-wearing trash wandering aimlessly around for my comfort.
If I need anything, I shop Walmart online. I just ordered two aloe vera plants from there online and they arrived within a couple of days. No need to go to the brick and mortar, as far as I am concerned.

I opt to use the invisibility feature for myself and for my points. As a premium paid member, I realty don’t see any perk to hiding my gifts and wondered whether anyone was able offer rationale on why they choose to hide their gifts.
There is a box at the top of my gift page that I could ✅ and by doing so, would deny other members access to viewing my gifts. In my mind, those gifts are now hidden from view of others.
I don’t like to delete any gift for any reason however, admittedly I have…. There’s been times that I have been short on points, didn’t want to buy points and decided to destroy a gift, sent from years ago, for the points I “needed” at that time.
As far as hiding my gifts, I have what I have and they were sent by so many different members for so many different reasons. I’m sure I decided to delete some negative gifts but there came a time that I had clarity in my thinking; why delete something that I “earned”?

These photos have been peacefully displayed in mattsjohnson18's gallery for quite some time as member uploaded one of those photos on October, 2015 and the other photo in October, 2014. Can you believe it? Those pictures have been proudly displayed for 7 and 8 years but leo is desperate for points!

The interesting thing about leo's referral of mattsjohnson18 was that mattsjohnson18 had a full series of pictures taken at this event yet leo, the numb nuts, was able to find matches on only TWO. Gee, is it possible that someone SNAGGED mattsjohnson18's pictures and posted them elsewhere? Not in leo's world, don't stand between leo and the 50 point bounty. Heck, Mr CountryCouple54 has said he's found their pictures on websites that he has not posted on. It happens, leo, get that through your thick head.
All his referrals aren't bad or frivolous HOWEVER I would say 35% are. Can you imagine reporting images that have been displayed 8 years, for cryin' out loud! There should be a statute of limitations on pictures and profiles!
